    Eczema or Baby Acne?

    Advertisements
I thought Peanut had baby acne but it has gotten progressively worse for the past couple of days. She has a ped appt on Tuesday but the more I research, the more I think she has eczema. She has dry patches on her forehead and her scalp. She has pimples on her cheeks, chin, and under her hair.

I don't see the pimples and dry skin anywhere else. It doesn't look like cradle cap. I wouldn't think that acne would be under her hair and all over her face? She doesn't have a fever. Any ideas?
I would like to be with my for a while but thats what made me so tired in the first place!

How old is your baby? Eczema normally doesn't start until around three months. Matt had really bad baby acne and it was all over his face and went up into his hair. But he also had cradle cap and now has eczema.

That's how Matt's arms and legs look if I don't put lotion on him every diaper change. I sure hope Peanut doesn't have eczema, it's no fun for momma or baby.

Jackson had to be on a steroid cream and then aquaphor. We still use the aquaphor when we get episodes but it's nothing like the pics above.

The pic is in my profile and I can't figure out how to get it here.

    Figured the pic post out

Ignore the red patch on her eye. That's a birthmark. The spots on her cheeks and forehead and chin and scalp are what get me. Not sure how well you can see them?

Oh and she is a month old.

looks like baby acne to me. Matt has eczema really bad, this is what his face looked like (before it wasd treated). Not to mention, she's too young for eczema to be showing up even if she does have it.
