Matt has eczema. I already knew that he had it but his ped confirmed it yesterday at his 4 month well baby check. He didn't prescribe him anything because he said that the cream that is for eczema has steroids in it and he wants to avoid that if at all possible so he gave me 4 tubes of vaseline and said to just put it all over his body every time I changed his diaper. I have been and it seems to be working. The scaly patch on the side of his face is almost gone and the red bumps on his arms are gone.

well the lotion I use works on him but it's really bad on his face and I didn't want to put lotion on his face for fear of him breaking out.

    Aww, poor little guy!

My son has had Eczema since he was 4 months old and he'll be 4 next month. =( It's still pretty severe but he just started allergy shots last month and it seems to be helping!

It was more of a size thing. He said that since he was still a little baby he'd rather try the vaseline first. If this doesn't work I'm going to make an appointment and ask him to prescribe him the steroid cream stuff.

I swear by the Naturals stuff I told you last time. It works wonders! Paul's face gets bad and it goes away quickly. I hope all is better soon!

I was going to post a thread about this because my son just got diagnosed with eczema. But it's only a small spot on his shoulder and the Dr didn't prescribe anything for it. I'll try the vaseline before I go back and ask for something stronger.
