    Wow My poor boob!

    Advertisements
Ok, so Corn Muffin didn't eat off of my left boob earlier this evening because my right one was too full and had a blocked milk duct or something so I just nursed her on that side nd got her to drain it. Four hours later we were in teh car in te parking lot at the grocery store and she was hungry so I nursed her on the right side again (b/c it was having the shooting pains again). Then we got home and Mom and I got my breast pump out and washed it and put it together and I used it for the first time.. I pumped five ounces off of the left boob! She hadn't nursed off of that one for 10 hours and she usually nurses 10 minutes each side every 4 hours. No wonder that side felt about to explode!!! Poor boob.

Even thought you had a clotted duct on the right you should still nurse on the left. If you dont then the left side could get clotted also.

See, everything I've read says that if you have a clogged duct that's the side you should nurse on: puzz I'm so still working on getting the hang of this. But, now that I have my pump figured out it shouldn't be a problem anymore I hope.

the breast pump! it made nursing so much easier. for some reason dd would not latch on my left breast. I nursed her on the right and pumped the left.

That just made me . I remember our first car trip . . . DS slept almost the whole four hour ride, so through 2 feedings, plus we had given his normal (pumped) night time bottle right before so I hadn't emptied in about 6 hours. I hurt soooooooo bad & got almost 10oz. between the two.
