    Baby's coming home outfit

    Advertisements
I had Ava in Feb and it was cold so naturally I brought her home bundled up in warm clothing. This baby is going to be born in September, in Guam and its usually around 80 something degrees everyday. I kind of wanted to bring her home in a cute summery sundress but I was wondering if that would be okay. I would still have blankets and stuff but is a sundress okay to bring a baby home in?

    I would think so Callie!
We have 2 outfits picked out as of now for Logan and 1 is like a sleeveless jumper and the other is a shortsleeved onsie that says "little brother" with a pair of newborn shorts. It will be so hot here but I plan on taking a recieving blanket just in case.

I had DS in September in west Texas (it was hot, I think the 80s or so at the time) and he went home in a short sleeved and shorts one piece outfit. Just bring a blanket to be on the safe side and I think you'll be fine.

Just an FYI, they told us that lil' bebe couldn't come home in anything one piece... it had to be two because of her umbilical cord?

Granted, I know that it's not like that for most hospitals, but well, Guam wants to be difficult.

So we brought lil' bebe home in some preemie pants and a white tshirt type deal.

I'd bring what you really want the baby to come home in just in case, but bring a back up 2 piece outfit to be on the safe side.

Do they have to leave the hospital with a hat? I thought they have to wear those caps all the time when they are newborn but I'm a soon to be newbie mommy lol

I'm planning on bringing Jordyn home in a summery dress. Just be sure you have some blankets for her, and you'll be fine! Alexis came home last year in just a onsie.. it was about 95 or so out, at the end of July.

I came home in a Cabbage Patch sundress lol. I was itty bitty and premie clothes weren't what they are now. My mom wanted peach and that was the only one my aunt could find. It fit perfectly.

No, they don't have to wear those hats all the time. In the summer the rule I go by is dress baby similar to what i'm wearing and in the winter I dress baby like what I'm wearing plus one layer, a hat and blanket.
