    Vaccinations-->The Doctors

    Advertisements
    Hi there! I am not a new mom yet but I know that to vaccinate or not to vaccinate is a heated debate on these boards pretty often....

    Tomorrow, Wednesday May 6th, The Doctors is having Jenny McCarthy and others on to debate the pros and cons of vaccination.

    I just wanted to pass that info on just in case anyone was interested in seeing that episode.

    I could care less about Jenny on there I don't agree with her blaming her sons autism 100% on vaccines. I just want to see the show overall.

    I think that hearing the other doctors opinions should be interesting. DH and I are planning on trying to get pregnant when he returns from deployment... so I like to hear all sides of the argument.

    From the previews it looks like not just Jenny is on the "not to vaccinate" side.

    As a pediatric nurse...it breaks my heart to see kids fighting illnesses that could have been prevented by vaccines!

    I know that everyone has a right to their opinion - so I hope I don't get for this. There is NO evidence of vaccines causing any type of autism - in fact, new studies suggest that kids who are diagnosed with autism have a larger amygdala than kids who are not diagnosed with it.

    It's every parents' choice - and it makes me very sad to know that a LOT of parents choose not to "because Jenny McCarthy said so."

    But yet I take care of pertussis babies almost bi-weekly...

    Hopefully it'll be a good debate between her and the Doctors though, and will give people something else to think about!
