never needed mittens and hated those swaddler things, preferred regular blankets. also i much would've preferred to just have a convertible seat for dd since she was in a sling 95% of the time

I needed nursing bras and tanks, and still have not got any.

Something I bought and shouldn't have is one of those baby bather seat things, the mesh seats. A plain and simple $10 tub is the best, and that's what I am going to get because I hate the little seat.

One thing that I didn't buy myself, but they gave me some at the hospital, was Lansinoh breast wipes. They are really nice to have on hand, and I will buy more of those when I run out of what I was given.

I didn't have a swing at first and I regret not having it as soon as we got home. We got one about 3 weeks after we brought her home.

I didn't have any nipples for bottles (didn't know that it's the 0-3m, slow ones) and I hated the mittens.

We didn't have many bassinet sheets either. Nor did we have actual newborn pacifiers either, we just had the regular 0-3 month ones, and they were too big for her lil' mouth.

i didn't have any pacifiers because i was told no pacifiers for breastfed babies. well, the first two nights, he nursed like a champ and the pacifier was the only way i could get shut eye since he was in-room with me (had to beg a nurse to find me one and she just happened to have some free sample nuk pacifiers on hand). after those first two nights, he refused the pacifier almost every single time i tried. he just wasn't interested.

Pads for my hoo-ha, because my doctor told me to refrain from tampons post partum.
