I was told Karo syrup. Then we tried juices. Now we use laxatives for Bailey every other day.

My mom used to use karo syrup and castor oil? It was chocolate flavored and my brother used to get jealous becuase I got to eat it and he didn't! After I was a little older she gave me prune juice too. To this day (20 years later) I STILL have to eat prunes or use laxatives, daily

How long has it been since he pooped? It is normal for babies to go several days without pooping.

Karo syrup or juice (pear juice was what my doc said worked the best). You can also try adding a bit more water to your little ones diet.

when he does poop is it hard and pebble like? If not then he's not constipated. Two weeks might be too young to try anything such as juices or karo syrup. Try giving him a warm bath and massage his tummy. Or you can try "bicycling" his legs.

My doc told me that as long as she poops once a week it is good. When she is in pain and trying we used baby suppositories, We Did Not put them in and leave them just put the tip in for a couple secs to help her start. Good Luck.

I always put a little vaseline on a q-tip and rubbed it around on their "area" and it triggered them to push, and the vaseline helped it come on out. The karo syrup worked, too.
