    Question Eye Color

    Advertisements
If your baby was born with blue eyes, but didn't stay blue, when did they change?

Silas still has very blue eyes at 4 1/2 months. DH's family is convinced they are going to stay blue, but both of us have brown eyes. I had light green eyes until I was 3, and then woke up with brown eyes one day I know it's possible for him to have blue eyes, but I keep waiting for them to change

I heard they can change up until 3.

My husband and I both have blue eyes so we can't have any brown eyed kids

Ok I didn't know if I was some weird exception since DH's family is SO convinced they're going to stay blue. I guess we'll wait and see!

My daughter had BRIGHT blue eyes until she was 12 months old. At that point, almost overnight they went brown. Actually, they are a hazel brown. I don't know if it really has anything to do with it, but I nursed her until she was almost a year old and it was right after I stopped that they changed color. My other two kiddos had brown-brown eyes pretty soon after birth. Their eyes are sold, dark brown compared with her light/hazel brown. Interesting.

Alexis was born with a DEEP dark blue, then they slowing changed to hazel. Just recently (within the past month), they've gotten darker, and turning into more of a brown than hazel. Me and DH both have brown eyes.
