    we always mixed in first sweet potatoes, pears, apples, etc with the cereal

    I used cereal for about 3 weeks...then I moved on to veggies...the doctor told me to start veggies then fruits

    I think j was 5mons or so when we started him on veggies etc. ETA_ we didnt mix it in cereal. He hated the box cereal

    He's almost 5 months and he is now starting stage 1. He's still eating the cereal but he also is still taking his milk. Im having such a hard time getting him to eat the cereal and the food. He'll only eat a few bites then he gets mad and only wants his milk. i really hope that changes soon.

    we tried it for the first day and she took it and tolerated the consistency and then we started mixing them in like half the jar

    This is totally normal. He is still very young. And Milk should remain his main source of nutrition until he is 12 mo. old. I woud do a bit of cereal at dinner time for my kids at this age, well I didn't start number 2 on solids until 6 mo. You can make it pretty runny to start with to get them use to the consistency.

    I think with DS, I started cereals at 6 mo. and didn't start veggies/fruit until 7 mo. I think I always read like 3 to 5 days on a new food to check for allergies (typically it takes at least 3 times of coming in contact with something before you will show an allergic reaction).
