    Baby blues

    Advertisements
Ever since last night I keep getting these bouts of sadness where I'll just cry for no reason and nothing seems to really feel right. I had heard of the baby blues but I didn't think I would get them because I was so happy the whole pregnancy and right after birth. I'm hoping it's just those blues and not PPD. Those who had the baby blues, how long did it last?

I'm with Jayme If you're still feeling like that after your lochia is all gone, or if it gets worse, definitely talk to your doc.

Give it a little while, if you're still experiencing this in a few weeks, might want to mention it at your 6 week appointment. They'll screen you anyway. Hang in there, things are brand new and hormones are INSANE!

It's very normal I don't have PPD but I felt like that right after each of my kids were born for the first week or 2

With all of my babies, I had the blues. It was only after my last and because of my BCP that I had full on PPD. It's very normal. Your hormones are gonna go up down and all around for the next couple of weeks. It takes some adjusting.

I had the baby blues for about 3 weeks after my son was born. But, they went away and I was fine. I wasn't depressed, just sad. I missed being pregnant and feeling him moving around, and sometimes I just cried for no reason.
