    Question Whats happening?

Cristian starts off with a really good latch and then as the feeding progresses ends up with just the nipple? I'm not sore or anything because of it but still...
    He's never had problems before.

Maybe his little belly feels better w/some milk in it and he's relaxing and losing his latch.

Do you keep him against your whole breast the whole time or do you tend to relax? Is he also falling asleep? He might be just becoming "lazy" and not sucking as hard.

Sounds like he's maybe not as hungry so he's not latching as much. My DD did this a lot when she was little. Her latch wasn't perfect. So I would unlatch, and then relatch using my finger to flip her upper lip over properly. Then she would latch right and we'd be good to go. If she was falling asleep she'd get further off the breast too.

Thank you. He falls asleep sometimes but not always. Today it really hurt, I flinched when he latched on.
