Alcohol Test Strips for Breastfeeding Moms??

    Advertisements
What's your opinion on these?? Theoretically, it's a good idea.......
but I also think that it kind of is giving a big green light for breastfeeding moms to drink.....whenever.....as long as they are testing before they breastfeed.... I don't know. I think I'm having one of those ethical/moral mommy moments...

I think it's fabulous, I'm going to get some! I'm not a heavy drinker but I do imbibe sometimes and generally wait well past what is considered kosher to resume bf....this will help a ton

It seems like a good idea HOWEVER if you have to check your bm for alcohol then maybe you have drank too much. I always pumped before we went out so Trent could have milk if I felt I had too much. Think ahead.

I think it is a good idea. I am a worry wort though, and would wonder if even a little was to much, so having a test strip is a little extra peace of mind.

it's a precautionary thing and to each her own....I wouldn't buy them but I also don't pump and dump bc I don't drink enough to harm my baby.....

My rule of thumb... if I don't have enough BM stored to last my child 24hrs after I go drinking then I don't drink more then 1 or 2 beers. People who drink excessive and still BF are absolutely ridiculous. Might as well just give your kid formula rather then expose them to the dangers of alcohol.
