    Am i doing something wrong?

Yeah so I have been breastfeeding for 2 weeks now and all of a sudden today my left nipple just seems so raw and sore. Am I doing something wrong? It hurts to touch it. Can someone give me a little advise?

Get some lanolin cream and check your baby's latch...it should be even with as much of your areola as possible in his/her mouth...(even meaning its not pulling in one direction or the other)

I agree. I had the same problem when Miss K was that age. It got so bad that I started pumping and giving her the bm in a bottle. It just hurt too much to bf her. You could always try to see the lactation consultant at the hospital and have her check the latch.

Lansinoh, check his latch, and you could potentially have thrush. Jackson and I have been battling thrush, and it seems to affect me more so than him. He doesn't get the white spots in his mouth, but I get nipple pain, and shooting pains in my breast. You may or may not have it, but just wanted you to know that just because he doesn't have any symptoms doesn't mean that you don't have it!

Hope you're feeling better now though and don't have to worry about it

Yep, we had the same battle with thrush, though baby never seemed to have the typical symptoms. I did though. Latch, cream and keep an eye on things.
