The Buttpaste didn't work on my daughter.. neither did the Johnson and Johnson 3 in 1... What worked best when she was an infant was Dr. Smith's... it's awesome!! Every child is different, and sometimes trial and error is the only way. Now I use A& D original on her and it's working wonderfully!

Is your son lactose intolerant? I am, and I take a supplement available at Walmart, and they have a children's version. It's put out by a company named Ganeden Biotech. Their website is http://www.ganedenbiotech.com. They also have supplements for IBS and other gastro-intestional problems.

I once had someone tell me to try equal parts of Desitin (any diaper rash cream should work) Mylanta and Vasaline

My mom is an ER nurse and told me during DD's last rash that if it gets really bad I should try Mylanta on it, but I completely forgot about it until you just mentioned it.

I'll remember the Monistat and the possibility of yeast infection for further rashes.

The Lanolin is working WONDERS on this rash-the rash is almost gone having used the lanolin all day today (and that's even with more acidy poos today that increased irritation but quickly went away with the lanolin). I have it on my list to buy the lanolin wipes for future rashes.

I think I'd be going nuts right now if it hadn't been for a lot of these ideas. And DD would still be in a LOT of pain. I'd probably be taking her to the dr. tomorrow if I hadn't had these ideas to try/that worked....Thanks so much everyone! And DD thanks u too!

I ALWAYS use cloths! I love them. just run them in warm water and wipe them and it feels great for them and your not leaving a residue on them!
