    Remind me again

why I'm doing this? Or at least tell me it gets better.

Ds is sitting in his boppy next to me CIO, because I'm just too frustrated right now to handle a baby.
He wants to eat CONSTANTLY, especially through the night, and my poor boobs just can't take it anymore. Co-sleeping isn't really a safe option for us. We have a pillow top mattress. It's memory foam, but it's still too soft for me to feel comfortable with him in our bed. So... he's been sleeping on my chest because we can't get him to sleep in his pack and play next to us (we have the bassinet portion set up). I have been without sleep now for 4 nights and I can't do it anymore. I don't know what to do. He is changed and fed and he's just crying! It's like this all the time.
Not only that, but I feel trapped in the house because he wants to eat constantly. I don't even feel like I can have guests over. I'm completely alone. I'm not good enough at bfing to feel comfortable doing it in front of anyone but DH.
    I can't shower, I can barely eat.
I really wanted to do attachment parenting, breastfeed for at least a year, etc, but that all seems so... impossibly hard.

    I'm just lost.

YOU will get better at and more comfy with breastfeeding
And I promise, he'll start going longer between feeds.
Some babies just like to be held 24-7. I got really good at doing everything with a baby in a sling

    ((((hugs))))

I love him, I really do. I feel awful when I dread him being hungry.

It WILL get easier. Have you tried putting the baby in the car seat carrier and bouncer, put that in the bathroom and taking a shower or bath that way? Or take him into the bath with you. Or start the washer and put him on there The vibration might help him feel better.

Also, have you tried using a swing? He will still be close to you but you will have your hands free to do other things.

When Miss K was about a week old I had to start pumping because she suddenly stopped latching on correctly so for a week I gave her BM in bottles.

Have you tried a binky? Maybe he just wants to be soothed by the sucking motion.
    Needs work.

i would try a pacifier since it might be the sucking motion/action (though my dd never took one).
