I took the advice of a friend with Weston but transitioned him earlier than I had planned (6 weeks). We started with naps in his crib, he was in the bassinet in the bedroom normally for naps. Within 4 days we fully transitioned and it was relatively painless.

We tried to move him to his own bed (never in a crib) but notice it was too much since he still nursed during the night. Once he was weaned, it helped much more. He still gets up every once and a while but he does not USUALLY come to our bed til morning.
