    Tomorrow night is our ball and I have been THINKING about having a glass of wine but I dont know. How long do I have to not nurse if I have one?

    You can have a glass of wine and be fine to nurse when you get home. You do not need to pump and dump either the alcohol metabolizes out of your breast milk just like it does with your blood.

    Yea, what Jamie said... You milk making machine filters out alot too.. I used to have a beer on monday nights during WCW when I was BFing..

    yea...it shouldn't be 2 bad. I had a daquiri the other night when I went out with one of my girlfriends and BF when I got home.

    Here's a quote from the site "Reasonable alcohol intake should not be discouraged at all. As is the case with most drugs, very little alcohol comes out in the milk. The mother can take some alcohol and continue breastfeeding as she normally does. Prohibiting alcohol is another way we make life unnecessarily restrictive for nursing mothers."

    They also make little strips that test your breast milk for alcohol. I've seen them at BRU, but they're pricey.
