When you are/were nursing did you wear shirts especially made for nursing - like the ones at motherhood - or did you just wear whatever you wanted? Was it worth it to buy nursing tops?? Certain types you prefer ??

    TIA!

Im excited that im DONE buying maternity clothes (well hopefully) and onto buying nursing..

both.... at first i spent $$ on the nursing tops, but after awhile, realized they didn't do much to help cover anything.

my advice - buy a few nursing tops and see if you like them. they have different style openings and what not... to see which you prefer. then go from there

I bought a couple, mainly because none of my other shirts fit and I needed to get something so I just got nursing shirts. When I had to get more shirts because those had gotten too big I just got normal shirts.

I just layered up. Nursing bra, then a tank top, and then my top shirt. I would lift the top shirt and pull my boob over the tank top. That way my belly was still coved by the tank top. I guess that is the "poor man" nursing shirts!!!

I bought one nursing shirt and I tried it with Dakota and Austin. All it ever did for me was get me all tangled up and flustered because baby was hungry and screaming. I opt to wear maternity shirts or regular shirts instead.

    Good luck!!

I bought 1 nursing top and I didn't like it at all, so I just use regular shirts. If I bf in public, I just cover up with a blanket. I don't think nursing shirts are necessary.
