    quick meal ideas

    Advertisements
so what are some quick meal ideas that i can do when i'm by myself that i can eat with one when i'm nursing jennifer? i think she has a bit of a milk sensitivity. i've been having at least one ensure a day the last few days because she gets fussy and doesn't want to be put down so ensure's are easy for me to drink but i think that's part of her gassy problem (they contain milk products and soy). so i need healthy meals to eat with just one hand

Prepare the meals(chicken, fish, other meats) beforehand while she's napping or at night. Then during the day toss it in the oven.

    the cradle hold? yup!!

the only one you can't do by yourself is the kangaroo. when you tie her in for the first time, do it over the bed, so you have the padding in case she wriggles out.

if you want, later, i can go on yahoo or aim or something on camera and show you how to do it

    maybe a crockpot meal?
So you can throw it all in there at the beginning of the day and still have a hot meal at dinner.

even if she's BFing you should still have time to eat. Even with a 3 yr old, 15 month old and newborn, I still definitely had time to eat meals. Just eat while she's napping or something. I always keep a ton of turkey meatballs frozen, so I can plop them into a skillet and reheat to eat by themselves or with sketti sauce and/or noodles. Baked Ziti freezes wonderfully. Just make a big batch of it and freeze into smaller casserole dishes, then pop in the oven for a half hour at 350. Do you have a grill? Another thing I do quite often is when I buy chicken breasts, I always seal them into individual servings so I can just grab one, put it into some marinade, then either grill or bake it up. You could put it over some greens to make a salad or cut it up and toss it with a sauce and pasta. I ALWAYS keep chicken breasts around though b/c it's so quick and flexible.
