    Question Breastfeeding sites

    Advertisements
What are some good, informational sites for me to read? (I know theres the LLC)

Another question- if I pumped solely (yes I know it's more work) about every 3-4 hours, would I eventually dry up soon since he's not feeding directly? Or would milk continue to come in just like normal?

i pump every 3-4 hours at work and boy is it a PIA. if i miss ONE session, my supply hurts the next day... my supply is THAT sensitive

ETA: for me, a "hurting supply" means i only pump 6-8 oz in one session instead of 12-14 LOL

Your supply is very very sensitive, you have to keep in mind that an empty breast fills up better than an already full one.

LLL is great, kellymom rocks, also here are a few I have bookmarked.

Some of these might be more than you wanted but I hope you find the help you need.

I think your supply would eventually probably dry up a good bit. If you pumped a LOT, you could probably manage to make it work, but I honestly think pumping is sooooooooo much more of a pain in the ass. If I could have learned to deal with pumping, I could have probably breastfed longer than I did, but I just HATED it. It took forever to get anything and it was just such a pain in the ass to have to go sit somewhere and pump, when I could latch the baby so much more easily. Maybe you'll be able to deal with it more than I did, but I absolutely hated it.

With a toddler in the home, I feel like direct bfeeding is much easier than pumping and giving a bottle. We are finished a lot faster, and baby gets more milk. Good luck with whatever you decide!
