I remember it being a little nerve racking, but just be gentle, calm and talk to her in a soothing mommy voice through it. You never know, she may really like it. My son loved his first bath, never made a peep.

Make sure her water is really warm. If the water is to cold she will hate it and cry. Also turn up the heat in the house so it isnt cold when you take her out.

SPONGE BATH!!! Ash HATED baths! So we did sponge baths and only taking off part of the outfit. (an arm the chest the other arm one leg etc.) For ash it really minimized it. When she got older she started being more able to handle baths and it wasn't such a big deal.

I do it in the bath tub, we have a little sponge that goes at the bottom of the tub she lays on and we fill the tub up to where the sponge is soaked in water. Alot of people do it in the kitchen sink, but I dont like having to hold her because I feel like I will drop her when shes all slippery.

Just do it fast. Heat up the house really warm, then pop her in her tub. I think it is easier to bath them at the kitchen counter because you can stand and be more comfy. You don't have to scrub her hard or anything just wash her quickly with the wash coth and then wrap her in the towel. Then if you want you can nurse her for a little bit after you put the diaper on so she is nice and relaxed.

I always filled up a bowl with warm water and did it in whatever setting ash was most comfortable in. I was thinking tho......do you bathe with her??? Maybe having you in the bath with her would help as well.
The sponge bath however worked for me. Ash wouldn't bathe with me or take a normal bath. She was always very particular.
