OK so i am making a sling for my SIL.

She had a little boy day after Thanksgiving. SO i wanted your input on a few things if you dont mind.

Im making a double sided sling with a padding on one edge for little legs later.

Do you think i should do a reg cotton fabric on the outside and like a flanel on the inside? I was thinking about doing a semi strech fabric but not sure if the flanel will accomidate for the strech.

She wants something fun, functional, but still boyish but posh in the same.

Just wanted some input. Thanks ladies!!

I would get a cotton that has a small amount of stretch. You can get really nice soft cottons and prints at good fabric stores. I recently got some for a Christmas sewing project I'm working on, and it really feels like a soft flannel, but it's really cotton!

I own my own business making slings and I think the best thing to would the fabrics similar in stretch. I always use the same fabrics though. If I am using cotton, I use it for both layers, etc..
