Hey Ladies,
This is my first post and I just wanted to tell you all how wonderful it has been to be on this sight so far. This is our first deployment and I always knew it would be hard...I never knew the first few days would be this bad. Your posts have really helped. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Thank you! Here's a song my friend told me about tonight that I thought you all might like. It made me cry, but he and I are on day two so things like loosing my car keys or snuggling with our dogs makes me cry aswell! I know from your posts you all know what I mean! ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqzCnp9ROXE |

I know what you meant about not looking forward to #2! I'm hoping after this one he doesn't go on #3! He's been in the Marine reserves for about 7 years. Normally he's a cop in our hometown and he loves it...and when he gets home his contract will be up. He's not sure yet if he's going to reenlist...I'd be ok with it if he doesn't. I never mind being a Military girlfriend because I'm amoung some of the the best women out there! I just wouldn't mind being a police officers girlfriend though. Who knows, cross that bridge when we get there. How long and where was your man deployed to before?

Give me understanding that I may know, when duty calls him he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he's away. And Lord, when he's in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And Lord, when duty is in the field, please protect him and be his shield. And Lord, when deployment is so long, please stay with me and keep me strong. Amen. |
