forget about Michael Jackson and remember our troops, that fight for us every day, and lose their lives. The ones that get maybe 30 seconds mentioning on the evening news?

It makes me angry that famous people get sooo much news coverage after their death, non stop, all over every magazine, on every news station. I get that he was famous, I get that he was an icon...but these are OUR people. They fight for US. They die for US. They are our heroes.

I'm sorry, this is just bothering me a lot these past few days..

Just watch, and pray for our guys and girls over there that are fighting every day for us. That, as we speak, have to live with temperatures of up to 120 degrees, and still go out there, in their heavy gear!

I agree 100%, it is so sad that MJ dies and people are so wrapped up in. He was on soo many pain killers

We were talking about this last night at dinner; it is so sad to me that so many Americans act this way when a celebrity die but when a soldier/sailor/airman dies its just another day.

Thank you for this Kaylin! My db was so upset that he lost 3 guys a couple weeks ago and it didnt make the national news! He was really mad that a suspected child molester (yes I said suspected since it was never proven that he did it) would get so much sympathy and have so many people all over the US crying and leaving memorials but where was everyone in the US when the 3 Georgia National Guard guys had their memorials...where was the coverage of his town crying??? It is such a messed up way that our world works!!!

I can understand that his family is hurting...I can. They're people too. But do we need to blast it. You're right, Kaylin.

AND I need to say this...People get all on me bc I don't get all broken up about it...Here's my thing...He was a GREAT musician...A legend in his own right...BUT...How many of you knew him personally? I thought not.

Michael Jackson will be no more/less in my life tomorrow than he was on Tuesday. I can still download his music (I would pay for it...) on Itunes and put it on my Ipod...I can still watch his videos (hey they're on MTV ALL DAY EVERY DAY now)...Y'know...that was what he was to me...A musician. As for his humanitarian efforts too...His family can continue that if they so choose. So...I'm not going to see this as the end of the world, sorry. Flame away.

I agree.

People in Hollywood, dont live in the real world. They dont understand the value of a dollar. The entertainment news media, cares more about MJ or John and Kate, than our men and women fighting.!!

We are the real world, we live the life every day, we worry and wait!

Respect should be given, parts of the world have seemed to forget that we are still deploying men and women. There is still familes waiting, to be complete again!!

People just go on like, nothing is happening, but all the military families can't. They are always on there toes.

My husband is serving. All of your husbands, boyfriends and SO's are serving too. That is something to be so proud of. We get to walk among hero's everyday! Most important each of us, support our men, which helps them make it through whatever they are going through over there.
