Have you seen or heard of this book: Don't sweat the small stuff... and it's all small stuff. It's by Richard Carlson, PH.D. When my day is looking pretty glum and I'm depressed, I read it.
Some of my favorite tid bits of advice are: 1. Develop your compassion 2. Become more patient 3. Surrender to the fact that life isn't fair 4. Spend a moment every day thinking of someone to thank 5. Practice random acts of kindness 6. Practice humility 7. Relax 8. Practice ignoring your negative thoughts 9. Cut yourself some slack 10. Fill your life with love. There are 100 bits of thought in the book and every one is explained. I have them in large font and printed out and hung on the wall in my house. It's a great reminder. If anyone wants them I will send them. And it's a great read too!!

Yes, I have. The author of those books died an unexpected death. I saw his family on Oprah a few months ago and it was very sad and touching. He was a great man!

Thanks again for sending those to me.
A lot of these are really great!!! I am going to start reading these daily!! How do you all interpret the following...I'm not sure if I "get" the meaning and wanted to see what feedback you all had: 21. Imagine yourself at your own funeral. 27. Imagine the people in your life as tiny infants and as one hundred year old adults. |
