He's a 20 yr old Sgt. in the 75th Ranger Reg.
That says it all! lol I'd be proud of anyone who actually made it through Ranger school, but his buddies JUST found out how old he is! They're in Iraq right now & have him "marked" for his b-day! haha

Going from an E-1 to an O-4 (e) with only a G.E.D.
Volunteering to go to Iraq, truly hoping to make a difference, albeit a small one, if that. His unyielding integrity, pride and trustworthiness. HE never forgets "where he came from". I could go on and on..........

DB managed to complete his senior year of high school (all the tests and exams, etc) in just under twelve weeks. Not a GED or some test-out, he took every exam or test he'd have taken if he were going to all the classes. They wanted him to get in early, and so last summer he went for BCT at 17.

Just to clarify, I'm not insulting GEDs at all, I'm just saying I could've never done it... I have a GED myself, actually. Just wanted to explain 'cuz I read back what I wrote and it sounded kinda *****y.

My hubby has done so many things in the military.
He's been in for almost 14 years. He was deployed to Bosnia back in 96, he has been deployed 3 times with this war, and he will be deployed again in 2009. His attitude of endless positivity makes me proud. I don't have that sort of attitude, and I'm not even the one who goes. So him being optimistic, even in the worst of times shows me he's a true champ.

That he is only the 2nd cook EVER in the history of the USCG to go to OCS (there are only 3 of them), that he went from E-1 to O3E and never graduated high school, I could go on and on because every day he does something that makes me proud of him.
