    AIT, PCSing??

    Advertisements
Ah! DH changed his MOS while in Iraq so a month or so after he's supposed to come home he has to leave to Ft Gordon, GA! (we're at Ft Lewis in Wa) He's going to be there for about 6 months. Can I go with him? After him being gone a year, I am definitely not going to be ready to go 6 months without seeing him while he's stateside. I don't know much about AIT and how much free time they can have or anything. Would it be worth it to move? Visit once a month, fly down every week?!

yes, as long as the school is considered Accompanied you can go.

he needs to check to see if it is and since it is longer than 20 weeks they will pay for you to go and then pay for you to move again when it is complete.

I agree...you may be able to go but they might not provide housing. IDK I think it may differ from each training command.
