    What can/can't be moved...

    Advertisements
I know (from reading past threads here), that the military won't move cleaning supplies and food. Is there any thing else they won't move? Do you know if they will move perfume/lotions/other bath liquids??? I have alot of these, and just want to make sure. Anything else you can think of that they will not move?

It's liquids of any kind. I had to get rid of all my cooking liquids. They also won't ship anything flammable at all.

After moving OCONUS 3 times (Hawaii, Japan, Germany), here's my advice. Lotions I'd move no problem, just double ziploc them. Perfumes you're going to have to pad and seal. Seal the bottles in ziplocs (maybe 2), pad well with bubble wrap and tissue/paper. If you want to go all out, put wrapped bundle in tupperware/rubbermaid bin and DON"T let the movers repack. It seems excessive, but they'll get there intact!

Thank you so much for that link, I know it is going to come in handy. I know I am going to have lots of other questions in the near future as it will be our first PCS.

That's a pretty useful link! thanks!
I haven't read the whole thing yet but does anyone know if shaving cream cans are flamable that we could not ship?
I have like 20+ cans of those

I hate to say it but they most likely will not take them!

Will the movers know not to move something and just put it aside?
