is anyone's SO in EOD or know anything about it? dh has been talking about it and is seriously considering trying to switch. it makes me kind of worried, i know the basics of what it is they do, i was just wondering if anyone could give me any details on it or anything.

what kind of training would he have to go through, does it still work the same way as far as sea and shore duty go?

He has to go through 12 weeks of dive school in pensacola flordia then 46 weeks of eod school (during which he has to study like crazy so kiss weekly bonding time bye bye) at eglin air force base then he has an operational deployment to either a seal team, eod detachment, or a-team (army specops) for about 6 years the sea to shore for eod e-1-O9 is 6yrs sea 3 years shore.

Deployment cycles are 6 months workup 6 months deployed 6 months training. So look at 9 months out of the year gone when on sea duty because their training involves alot of traveling.
