Moving to South Korea

I have NO idea how this works and neither does DH. Here is what we've been told so far - please add whatever input you have.... Im so lost!

- we have to get a POA bc neither of us will be here when the Army comes to get the stuff

- they will pack everything up for us

- it will take a minimum of 4 weeks before our things arrive in Korea

- make sure we're VERY specific about what we want sent and what we dont

- the Army will pay for a storage unit for whatever we leave in the states

What do you plan on sending here. most apartments come furenished and what doesnt you can get it from housing. So you need a POA because you wont be there to sign it so who will. I heard it takes like months to get the stuff from what you ship Welcome cant wait to meet you I am here at casey and its cold here

im not shipping any furniture at all. im REALLY picky about my kitchen stuff though so thats mostly what will be shipped. I leave on the 14th for korea so my cousin is gonna go to my house whenever i tell her to and sign for them to get my stuff. we will use stuff from the lending closet til our stuff gets there. we have an apartment across from hannam village

ok so stuff that will be shipped:
-the rest of my clothes
-kicthen stuff

What base is your hubby at. I know how you feel. I did it the crazy way I fleww here with six suitcases and 2 two kids it was adnventure I also shipped him a few packages like a week b4 i left so it would be here when I got here and It was

he's at the DMZ - JSA. I am mailing a foot locker tomorrow with bathroom stuff, sheets and quilts but other than what i have in my luggage, ill have to borrow/wait. we talked about paying for one extra bag... so i may do that. i've thought about packing a few kitchen things in some flat rate boxes and mailing them off as well.. hmm..

what airline are you flying with i know since you are flying international it can be two 50 pd bags check and you can put some kitchen stuff in your bag IDK Hope all is well with your flight

That is what I did I brought ALL of my kitchen stuff because I am picky, too. In my luggage I packed bathroom towels and I was so glad I did.
