PCS Orders with no dependents listed?
![]() ![]() DH finally got his PCS oders today to Quantico. yet AGAIN it does not list dependents so the career ssgt says oh it's ok, they will just get you back pay if it's messed up when you get there. So DH being a total MORON says sure and leaves. It's not ok. I need those orders to resign my position for a valid reason. I need them to get unemploymetn adn last time I checked if it's not authorized WITH dependents is SERIOUSLY effects your weight allowance, DLA, everything else. We cannot afford to not get BAH. We have so many expenses coming and he made crap before he got married as LCpl. ![]() ![]() Am i wrong? Should I just listend and say sure, they already know you're married and all will just fall into place? Not with the Marines it doesn't. For all I know it could end up me having to go to DEERS againa nd losing my health benefits. I don't have time for this $hit. AHHHHHHH

It shouldn't affect his weight, since that is based off rank, it doesn't count dependents as far as i know..
I know that my husband just has to ask for an amendment to the orders, so we can get paid the per diem for each dependent for travel expenses. I didn't see me or my son, our names appeared on the back.... He should be able to talk to the "orderly room" (not sure who that would be in his branch, who ever writes up the orders ect) and they should be able to fix it for him. |

Oh this can be a big problem!! We got screwed on orders that I wasn't listed on. It's easier to change the orders before the gaining command accepts him. Get it fixed now!!

This happened to us when we moved to VA. He needs to get his orders amended before he leaves. It took us like a month and a half to get stuff straightened out once we got here because we didn't realize before we left TX (this was our first PCS). We are STILLLLL waiting on part of our back pay for travel expenses because they have messed it up several times.
Oh, and we still got our BAH (it just wasn't updated for VA) once we moved and I still had DEERS and stuff. According to finance, I was in the computer just not on the piece of paper and they couldn't do anything without me being on the paper. If he gets his orders amended before yall move then it shouldn't be too big of a mess. |

the weight does matter- it is by with or with out dependants and rank.
your DH needs to get the orders amended asap- other wise you will fund the move your self and will not get any PCS allowances in advance. he needs to go in and say I have to do this I cannot afford to move on my own.
