hi. I was wondering if I could call coronado base housing and just ask some questions even though I don't really need to get a hold of them until jan-feb.
See DH wrote me and wanted me to call them and ask about base housing while he's in BUD/s training. Will they talk to me even though they could be like, "sorry, call back when it's time."? I just need to know if families of seal candidates HAVE to be on base housing since its the closest to their training or if they can have off base housing as long as its close. I've heard two different scenarios from two different recruiters. I just don't see how it would work if we HAVE to be on base if there is already a 0-14 month waiting list....anway there are two numbers listed: commercial and DSN. which do i call? thanks so much.

Yes you can call. Well with the Army you can. Call and ask all the questions you have. WIth us we had to be on a waitlist and they actually have a website that shows pictures of the houses and stuff. Give them a call and see what they say! Worth a try!

It's worth a shot ... I called the housing office here on Barksdale about 4 months before we were due to arrive - they were very helpful and even added us to the waiting list ahead of time!

Call commercial. I've called plenty of places in the past when we weren't stationed there...most people are fairly friendly and helpful. They might not be able to give you exact answers as things tend to fluctuate when dealing with housing.

I agree with the ladies...go ahead & give them a call, they will answer your questions & give you the assistance you need. They appreciate it when spouses are being prepared. Call the commercial number. Good luck!!

Its not base housing its PPV and through Lincoln Military housing, you can google them and check out the houses. My husband works with the seals on the base next to that housing community and there are a few ladies on this board that live there, I'm sure they can help you out.
