Johnston Mill Lofts, Ft Benning/Columbus

Hey everybody . I was wondering if anyone has any opinions or knows anything about the Johnston Mill Lofts in Columbus, GA..... I'm considering moving there. But... I've read a lot of mixed reviews online about them. When I visited them on Friday... I actually really liked them. The surrounding area didn't look fantastic... but the community is gated and the lofts themselves are pretty nice.

Out of the apartments that I've visited so far... these are my favorite. Plus.. its near Broadway/1st ave.. so when DH's buddies visit on the weekends, I figured we could all go out or send them out to there.

This would be my first apartment... so I'm really nervous... but also really excited & don't want to just jump into the first place I see that I like. So.... any thoughts, opinions, warnings?

I'm from Phenix City and have friends who have lived at the mill apartments. From the ones I've seen they're very nice and I've never heard them complain about anything. The neighborhood isn't the best, but if you don't have kids (to have to worry about schools) then I say go for it! Downtown Columbus is usually the place to go on the weekends. There's always something going on down there. I miss it! Good luck!

My friend's dh and his friend lived there before and I loved them!! They were really nice inside and close by places to walk around if ya want too.
