Active duty service computation - Military Moves and Relocation

What is this? Also, I need to figure out how to find out my husband's effective rank/rate date.

I'm filling out an application for base housing, need to get the paperwork sent right away (preferably today), and my husband is deployed, so I can't contact him to find out the information. Is there somewhere I can look to find this? His LES, maybe?

Amy, at the top of the LES it gives the effective date of service (day he joined). For the effective date of rank/rate I just put the month and year...do you remember when he picked up the last rank?

Oh, I think I found the date of service. For some reason, I had thought it was the year before- he joined after September 11 but wasn't officially in the military until the following year- which had me confused.

For rank/rate I found something on one of his past LES's for effective date.

Thanks! Off to fax our information to housing!
