    Cities/towns by Lejeune

    Advertisements
So were going to Lejeune in about 2 months. Since neither of us have been there we don't know what towns/cities are good to look at for a place to live. So anyone have suggestions of what places to look at and what ones to not.

From what I hear wilmington is the closest town that's good for things other than tattooe's and naked boobs, but I've only visted there a hand full of times, and it was only weekends at a time... so you can image I found recreation within the city lol

    be cool.

When we lived there it was either Jacksonville or Midway Park. Wilmington would be quite a commute!

Not really, about an hour, hour and a half away. And there's more to do there than Jacksonville

then again, I travel half that to go to work everyday, so my view of an hour drive isn't that bad at all for me.

we just moved from lejeune and lived on base on TT- in the new homes- which were really nice.
The Commons area off of Western across from Target is a really nice area.
Depending on how much BAH you will get.
Wilmington will be quite a commute everyday with traffic and all.
We lived on base on Tarawa Terrace and it took my husband sometimes 1 hour to get to work with the traffic when its really just 10 min away
you can PM if you have any other question

we just left there after living there for over 3 years

We just moved to Beulaville. Its a small town about 35 minutes from base. Its not that bad of a commute. We love it out here. It's in the country, so it gets you away from the military town. Its still not too far from the beach or Wilmington. PM me if you have any questions.
