Since I believe it is your DH that is the active duty member, he will need to go to TMO for them to set everything up. Than you will drive your car to the port (most likely Seattle) for them to ship it. You will need of course your orders and any paperwork from TMO.

But yeah, TMO should give all info to your DH.

you will need a special form the TMO office will help you fill out- they will instruct you where you need to take it and drop it off.

it needs to be completely empty of all personal items, and needs to have only 1/4 tank of gas in it when you drop it off. ( yes they will make you drive around until it gets to be a 1/4 tank before accepting it)

and just to clarify you are driving one shipping one as per the JFTR regs?

Manda- if you have only one car you need special permission to ship it- they generally do not allow it unless you are physically unable to drive.
please make sure you have it in writing on the orders that they are going to pay for it.

no ma'am this is false- YOU CAN drive to AK or take the ferry it is not automatic to ship a car to AK--

I know first hand since we have made the there and back trip to Kodiak and "drove" there.
