When we moved, I had the post office hold our mail. Then once we got settled with permanent address we forwarded it. Make sure you have all your bills in order so nothing is paid late or forgot about.

    Welcome to Ft. Riley!

Yup put it on hold , or in our case I just changed my address to my moms house and she held our mail and then when we got a place to live I changed it to that.

Go to your post office, fill out the form to hold your mail. You can talk to the mail clerk to answer any questions you have. Once you get to Ft. Riley, fill out the change of address form, all your mail will be forwarded.

Also, you have have your mail forward to general delivery to the station you are going to, and than do another forward when you actually get in a house/apt/whatever. That is what I do so I have access to my mail still.

We always have had our mail held until we got an address or post office box.
