    Question about arrival of HHG

    Advertisements
Does TMO send a notice as to when to expect your shipment? Our HHG got shipped on March 3rd and I heard it could take at the least a month which would be around March 31st. I don't want to be caught off guard. We put an email address on our HHG application but haven't heard anything. This is our first time so I am just looking for btdt advice. Thanks!

They should call you in order to set up a delivery date.

They gave us an estimated date before they left with our HHG's. But, they also called to set up a delivery with us. In our case, if we didn't set up an appointment within 24 hours of getting the call, they were putting our HHG's in storage (and they did, because we were not in the state yet).

As soon as we got the new location, we called and asked them the status of our stuff. We called every week (sometimes twice!) until it was there and could schedule a time. I am all about being proactive when it comes to this stuff. I was just so worried with us taking leave in conjunction with the PCS move that we'd miss a call or something.

Well they called yesterday and they will be here Monday between 1000-1200. I am so excited! DH even got the day off. I am going to let them put everything away and reassemble everything! Should I have food or something for them?

You can have snacks or something if you choose but it is not required. I do suggest having some cold drinks available.
