I still have my FL license. I was told I can keep it until it expires.

When I switched from MD to PA they clipped the bottom right hand corner off my MD license and gave it back to me. They said it still counts as a valid ID I guess

I keep my parents addy as my "permenant" address and my apartment as a "temporary" address. That way my address is valid. I think if you have NO connection to the address on your license, then yes, you need to change it.
If your address is your folks.. no not really.

from what i understand (from reading the married to the military book), as a spouse you have to change your address and license to the state you are going to be living in. only the active duty person can keep their license in whatever their "home" state is.

    but i could be wrong.

so if i am, please let me know. lol.

For some states, that is incorrect information. As long as my husband remains AD, while living in the state of VA, I am able to keep my CA license.

I claim residence in Texas at my parents home. I have lived in Hawaii, and now Cali, and when it expires I will renew through Texas DOT website.
Control is an illusion, you infantile egomaniac. Nobody knows what's gonna happen next: not on a freeway, not in an airplane, not inside our own bodies and certainly not on a racetrack with 40 other infantile egomaniacs.- Days of Thunder(Nicole Kidman)

In Hawaii, I didn't have to turn in my CA license for a HI license either.
