Hello (Navy-SD) Serra Mesa or Murphy Canyon?

    Advertisements
Okay, so my husband and I have decided to put our name on one of these lists, but are stuck on which one. Here is where I need your help. We have 2 adults, 3, sometimes 4 kids (who don't really play in the backyard we have now). They all like to share rooms also. So, it would probably be 2 to a room (bunk beds). We are currently in a one story 4 bedroom house and want something different. Which would you choose, and why?

I didnt care for the layouts at Serra. I loved my house in Murphy Canyon though. If on the off chance we ever get stationed back out there again, Murphy Canyon is where we will be living.

I feel the same as Donna! I've been in the Serra Mesa housing and most likely your going to get stuck with a 3 story house thats skinny and crowed. Its just not my thing but everyone is different

Been in both, MC by FAR. I think it really depends on your personal preference of layout, but I just really didn't care for Serra Mesa.

Chesterton is in relatively the same area as Serra Mesa (literally down the road and around the corner) and about 5 minutes from MC.

We never considered. I always here about Murphy Canyon and how it is like a "family type" area, and how Serra Mesa is newly built, plus how they have washers and dryers in them. Is there a website with pics of Chesterton that you know of?

DH is at North Island. It only takes him about 15 min. Chesterton is a really good family area too. They are all single family homes too with back yards. It is nice and in the middle of everything.
