    What if...

You use Smart Web Move to set up everything for a move to Hawaii, and something changes? What if you need to change a date or something? Is it hard to do? Relatively easy? Any experiences?

I'm so afraid I'm missing something, and I'll realize too late that the schedule I've set up is incorrect and not feasible.

    That is not helpful!

Just kidding. I've used it before, but for GA to VA. Much less room to screw up!

As soon as you submit your move info, you're assigned one person who then takes care of all of your paperwork, changes, etc. You get an email with their name and number, and you would then contact that person to make changes. It's very easy to make changes, I've had to several times.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Brandi!

I saw where it said to call the office for changes, but I wasn't sure if they'd ask for your firstborn to do it. Thanks for letting me know!

Off to set up my move!!!

Nope, it's pretty easy, depending on what you need changed. The people we were assigned were always so nice and helpful though Are you excited about your move?

    Done!

That wasn't so bad. I wasn't sure how much more would be involved for an overseas move... like was I going to have to pick dates for flying, etc?

I am excited/nervous/happy/sad all at once. This change of homeport thing is definitely a whole different experience! The FFSC said we're lucky, because it's easier. But I've never done a military move without him, so I don't know if I agree. Sure the whole boat is going, but that makes it more complicated I think, and then there's the whole point of doing it while their not around.

But, I know I can do it. And I can help everyone else do it too. That's one of the reasons why I was so antsy to get this done quick, so I would know what to tell anyone else with questions from the boat.

Whew. Glad that part is finished!!!
