So my hubby is reenlisting, we've talked about this for a while and he decided that this is the best decision.
So when he went to the reenlistment office basically they said don't just reenlist for the bonus reenlist for the duty station. And we wanted to stay near his family and all. Well anyway!! We are getting stationed in Fort Eustis, Virginia! I am so excited about it! We'll be close to his parents ( I love them alot) and I'd rather be there then Fort Hood, TX that's for sure. So anyone stationed over there or near there? What's it like? |

Ft Eustis is near Williamsburg, just outside a city called Newport News, VA. Cost of living is a little higher than Texas, but there is a lot to do and you're about an hour southeast of I-95, the major N-S interstate. You're three hours south of DC. Where are his parents? |

My Dad retired out of Eustis. I grew up literally 5 minutes from base!! We lived there the longest and I consider it home. There are a ton of places to live really close to base . I personally love it, but I'm biased to the area. Eustis is a great base and has a nice PX and Commi too.
