If you are moving CONUS (Continental United States) then the only way to get your car there is to drive it - the military won't ship a car CONUS. You can always pay out of pocket (no reimbursement) for a car shipping company to move it for you.

If you get stationed overseas and you are allowed to ship a car on the orders, the military will ship it for you. If you are not allowed to ship a car, they will store it for you. Keep in mind that some car loan companies may not allow you to take your car outside of CONUS if you are still making payments.

All of your stuff will get moved by the military. Two choices - they do it, or you do it (DITY).

If they do it, they do all the packing. If they don't pack it when they move you, they are not responsible for any breakage.

CONUS - it takes a couple days for your stuff to get there. Overseas can take a few months.

It's CONUS...How expensive is it to ship your car?? If we ship our car (we only have one) will they pay for us to fly or do we have to pay for that??

If you shipped your car you would have to pay for you and your family to fly.
