    Is anyone stationed there, or have been?

    we are moving there next spring, it will be my first time out of country, and i am very nervous, lol!

    DH was there with his dad. I think AmandaD has been there before.. and Britt? I'm not sure though.

    Amanda enjoyed her time there. We (actually, mostly everyone we were there with) did not.

    my husband was there for three years and he loved it. I think i will too, i dont mind the small community, i just dont know what to expect.

    what is the housing like? for starters, lol!

    Sucky - go for the mid-rise (condo), they're newer and nicer.

    They were starting to remodel the old nasty townhouses in Monzen when we left. Hopefully they just took a wrecking ball to them and started over.

    You'll mind the small community when you are scrutinized for everyone you talk to, look at, drive by. The gossiping on that base is horrible. Be careful when making friends.

    are you serious? i thought it was bad at camp p, you would think being away from EVERYTHING you know, you wouldnt want to do that crap

    Yea.. my DH hated Iwakuni but my MIL loved it.
