    Transporting Cars?

    Advertisements
From what I've understood, we pay to get both our cars to San Diego, but, how in the world are we going to come up with that type of money? We don't think that DH's car is going to make it that long of a drive, so we don't want to drive his that far.

Anyone ever shipped cars before, and if so, which site did you use? Do you know if the Navy has any recommendations on who to use?

I thought for some reason that 1 got shipped free, and we had to pay for 1 if we were not driving. But, I guess that's only overseas.

Any help you can offer would be great. We move in Feb.

They won't pay to ship it 100% but only pay what you would have gotten in travel pay and you will hve to pay the rest so there will be out of pocket expenses that you won't get back.

to get an estimate I will need to know where you are going and from where ( I will need the distance).

no - the only way they will pay for your flights is by TAKING the per diem and MALT-

say you are entitled to 2700 dollars in per diem and MALT- but the flights are only 1700 they will not give you the rest of the money.

and they will not reimburse at all for the 1st vehicle.
