TLA/TLE - Number of rooms entitlement

    Advertisements
Can we rent 2 rooms or a 1 bedroom suite in the Navy Lodge and be reimbursed for 2 rooms or the suite? We will be PCSing overseas. We have 2 children, ages 14 and 11 (by the time we PCS), boy and girl, if it's relevant. TIA!

I don't think so, but hopefully someone else has a better answer for you so I'll bump this.

Thanks! My husband wants to get the one bedroom suite and if we don't get reimbursed, he said we'll just pay the difference which is $600 a month.

YES!!!!!! but you cannot exceed your MAX per day allowance-

remember TLE and TLA are completely different entitlements-

if you are CONUS your max is 180 per day- this is for lodging and meals rate.

for Oconus it is slightly higher ( I think 220 a day but don't quote me) also lodging and meals rate.

you should be able to get whatever size room(s) you want and it will be covered as long as you don't go over your amount. check your allotted amount...i know we stayed in a suite here in HI and was covered...our max daily was something like 350 for food & lodging (we are a family of four, 1 active, spouse, & 2 dependent kids)

Didn't max TLE go up to $290/day on 14 October when the bill for the pay raise was signed? http://www.navytimes.com/money/finan...efits_101608w/

Oh goody! Thanks a lot! That's what I was thinking, too, as long as it's within the lodging limits. I was just thinking that being in cramped quarters with my whole family for 1-3 months (wait time for housing) might drive me crazy. And we got our official orders today! We have a month and a half to move our lives overseas.

Just Check the website that has the Per Diem Rates and that will give you the allowance for each location.

TLE and TLA are the same concept. The onlly difference is the time allowance.

OHHH I forgot it was going up-- but it will not be in effect until JAN 1-

and a huge note of importance here!! if you initiate PCS orders on dec 25th- are in lodging when the new rate goes into effect you will still only get the old rate.
    this is hugely misconstrued-

so for those PCSing at the end of the yr- please remember to keep your allowances with in the old rate!!!
