    Why a C School?

    Advertisements
DH is in Iraq right now, and we were talking about his next duty station blah blah blah. Well it was all fine and dandy until he told me he wants to go to C school in Fla before moving again . Ok, so he wants to come home from Iraq after (only) 7 months and turn right around to go unaccompanied for 10 more weeks? I just want him home! It's so not fair. What would you ladies do about this?

Id want him home too but id also support him and let him go. I don't even know what c school is lol. But you should talk to him about how you feel.
He is my hero, my best friend, my lover and now my husband. 6-20-08

What's his rate? My dh went to C school in Pensacola but that is because he HAD to, it wasn't a choice. He is an ET.

Sometimes C schools are required if the sailor is accepting a set of orders with a certain NEC requirement.. G had to attend a C school to accept the orders for our tour here.

He may not have the option NOT to... Sorry it sucks hun!

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not

He's a corpsman? Me too! Me, not Dh that is. "C" schools are really a good thing. It is good on so many levels. I know it is hard, but it is better for his career in the long run. What does he want to go for? It's mostly flight med in Pensacola....

Thank you, BrentsCrystal! You are amazing!

    Agree

I have to agree that it might be better for his Career to get that certain NEC and if the Navy is paying for it then go for it.

    What school is it?

He's an HN and honestly I'm not sure what school he's talking about. Ever since he finished corps school all he has talked about are c schools. I do remember him mentioning flight med because I know he wants to get on with a wing. Who knows. I just miss him lol.

He probably needs it for his next job, just more advanced training.
Sucks that he has been gone so much though

My dh will be going to C school in Missouri next month for his new job.

he only went to corps school? guaranteed if he re-enlists he won't be getting an SRB, however there are quite a few HM NECs that do have a good SRB

    c-schools are a good thing

i know it's hard to wait and that you miss him but it'll be better for his naval career for sure
