Jump for Joy We found a house

    We found a house yesterday.

DH and I went to housing on Wednesday and they only had one house available to move in onbase for when our lease runs out here (offbase) at the end of the month. The guy who is in it at the moment wouldn't even let us look at it either and the lady at housing was really nice, looking into houses that would be available at the beginning of next month and everything for us, anyway, we had put down for a 4 bedroom because of the 3 kids and there was just nothing for them to offer us.
Anyway, yesterday I went back and told them that there is no way we can extend our lease here, so we couldn't take one of the houses available early next month. There was another lady in the office (who handles the officer housing) who over heard the conversation and mentioned that there was a 3 bedroom officer house with a finished basement available now and had been empty for a few months, she had to call and get permission to let us look at it. Anyway, we love it and move in in 3 weeks. It has new carpet, fully fenced, they are getting a new refridgerator for us and will paint the basement (DH and my bedroom) next week. I am soo excited. The main floor alone is the same size as the enlisted 4 bedroom houses. I also have a proper pantry and HUGE laundry room.

I hope you enjoy your new place!
"What's so good about good-bye? It is good to be reminded that life is brief, at best, with no dress rehearsals, and the seasons we are privileged to share together are even more fleeting. Good-bye is good if it teaches us to cherish the life and breath, strength and sound mind, and the moments we are allowed to walk side by side with a friend. Good-bye is good if, in that difficult moment, we stand still long enough to give thanks to God for the lessons we've learned together, the love given, and the love received, recognizing that these are gifts from the hand of God." ~Marshele Carter Waddell
