Tax Question
Does anybody know...I send Jamison to child care 2 times a week. Now I don't work but use this time bc dh is deployed and I'd go crazy if I didn't get the time. DO I get to claim the child care??? My mom thought no bc I don't work, but what about all the rich mom's with nannys???

You must have earned income from wages, salaries, tips or other taxable employee compensation, or net earnings from self-employment. If you are married, both you and your spouse must have earned income, unless one spouse was either a full-time student or was physically or mentally incapable of self-care. If you chose to include nontaxable combat pay in earned income when figuring the Earned Income Tax Credit for 2004, also include it in earned income when you figure the amount of dependent care benefits you exclude or deduct from income.
