    Do you get to pick the moving company??? How does this work? You pay them up front or after the move?? (We have always moved ourself as civilians) Thanks ladies..

    there are ones that the Military Contract with. When you set up your move via smart web they contact you. It's a no hassle ( usually) move. You don't have to pick a company or pre-pay or anything like that. If you are over you weight limit though you do have to pay for that. hth

    When we moved , hubby just went to the transportation office and set it up from there, the movers came the day before we drove to our duty station and once we arrived and found a place to live we called the # and arranged a time for them to drop our stuff off to us.

    Yeah, there's usually no payment involved and they pack for you too! It's really awesome!!
